Poland and US Negotiate Establishment of Permanent Military Bases

Polish and U.S. officials held high-level discussions regarding the establishment of permanent American military bases on Polish soil. A Polish official stated that several locations are being considered for a 'truly massive' U.S. presence to bolster NATO's eastern flank. The move is a direct response to the prolonged conflict in Ukraine and Russia's recent threats against European infrastructure, aiming to provide a long-term deterrent against potential Russian aggression in the region.
