Iranian Drone Strike on Ali Al Salem Air Base in Kuwait Injures 15 U.S. Personnel
An Iranian one-way attack drone struck the Ali Al Salem Air Base in Kuwait during the overnight hours of April 6, 2026. U.S. Central Command confirmed that 15 American service members were injured in the explosion, with most returning to duty shortly after. The strike, claimed by the Iranian-backed 'Islamic Resistance in Iraq' coalition, marks a significant escalation in proxy attacks against U.S. regional assets as Tehran responds to ongoing U.S. and Israeli air campaigns inside Iranian territory.
