Bombing of IDP Sites in Demoso Township

The Myanmar military deliberately targeted places of refuge by dropping nearly 30 bombs on internally displaced persons (IDP) sites in Demoso Township, Karenni State. According to Progressive Voice Myanmar, these airstrikes are part of a deliberate strategy of terror. Applying standard methodology for multiple strikes on IDP camps, the assault forced an estimated 1,200 already vulnerable individuals into secondary displacement as they fled the targeted humanitarian sites.
