U.S. Airstrikes Target Iranian Coastal Cities and Oil Tankers Amid Escalation

Following U.S. naval blockade enforcements, Iran accused the United States of violating a ceasefire framework by conducting airstrikes on an Iranian oil tanker near the Strait of Hormuz and a second civilian vessel off Fujairah. Iranian authorities also reported that U.S. airstrikes struck military and civilian infrastructure in southern Iran, including Qeshm Island, Sirik, and Bandar Khamir, prompting active air defense operations over Tehran. At least 5 sailors are missing and 10 injured from the cargo vessel strike.
