Renewed clashes between Houthi rebels and Saudi-backed pro-government forces in southwestern Yemen triggered a massive wave of displacement. The International Organization for Migration reported that at least 46,000 people were displaced by the fighting, which included pro-government forces withdrawing from an island base in the Bab al-Mandab Strait.
