US House passes sweeping sanctions bill against Russia
The U.S. House of Representatives passed a bipartisan sanctions bill targeting Russia over its ongoing war in Ukraine. The legislation, named after the late Senator Lindsey Graham, authorizes severe sanctions on Russian officials and banks, and directs the White House to impose up to 100% tariffs on major importers of Russian oil and gas.
