Chad Deploys Troops to Sudan Border After Cross-Border Drone Strikes
The Chadian military has significantly reinforced its eastern border with Sudan following a series of suspected drone strikes in the Ennedi-Est region, roughly 100 kilometers inside Chad. Chadian army units reached the strike sites on August 31 and have established temporary outposts to block desert routes used for smuggling weapons to the RSF. Chadian forces also reported seizing several armed vehicles and weapons from Sudanese fighters who had crossed the frontier.
