Nepal flood death toll rises to 900 as workers remain trapped

The death toll from catastrophic floods and mudslides in Nepal and Tibet has surpassed 900, with over 4,700 people still missing. Rescuers are currently attempting to reach more than 900 workers trapped inside hydropower tunnels blocked by debris. Authorities have issued fresh flood warnings for the Bhotekoshi River valley as morgues in Kathmandu have reached capacity. The disaster has crippled major highways and caused widespread destruction to energy infrastructure.
