Sudan reports drone strikes from Ethiopia amid border military build-up
Tensions have escalated on Sudan's eastern border as the Sudanese military denied reports of strikes inside Chad, instead alleging that drone attacks have been launched from Ethiopian territory. Reports from the Yale School of Public Health indicate a significant military build-up at an Ethiopian base near the border, threatening the city of Ed Damazin. The Sudanese army also reported repelling a joint rebel assault in the Blue Nile region as the civil war expands into new territories.
