Iran launches ballistic missile retaliation against U.S. bases in Jordan

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps launched at least eight ballistic missiles at two bases housing U.S. forces in Jordan early Monday morning in retaliation for U.S. strikes in the Strait of Hormuz. Jordanian military officials stated that their air defense systems successfully intercepted all incoming projectiles over national territory, with no casualties or significant damage reported on the ground. The IRGC characterized the attack as a punishment for the U.S. strike on Larak Island positions.
