RSF Seizes Strategic Army Installations in Blue Nile Region
The Rapid Support Forces (RSF) announced on August 28 the capture of two Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) military installations in Sudan's Blue Nile state. The offensive, reportedly supported by reinforcements moving across the Ethiopian border, has intensified fighting near the strategic town of Geissan. Local sources indicate at least 20 civilians have been killed in recent clashes in the region as the SAF attempts to defend critical supply routes near the Reseires Dam.
