Sudanese Airstrike on Chad Border Fuel Market Kills 12
A Sudanese military airstrike targeted a fuel market in the border town of Tine, Chad, on August 28, killing at least 12 people and wounding seven. Chad accused the Sudanese Armed Forces of striking more than 100 kilometers inside its territory to target Rapid Support Forces (RSF) refueling points. Sudan denied the strike, instead alleging drone activity from Ethiopia. The incident has raised fears of a regional expansion of the Sudanese civil war.
