Sudanese Armed Forces accused of cross-border strike in Chad
The Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) allegedly conducted air and drone strikes against a convoy more than 100km inside Chadian territory in the Ennedi-Est region. Chad has accused Sudan of violating its sovereignty, placed its military on heightened alert, and reserved the right to defend its territorial integrity. The US envoy for Arab and African affairs expressed deep concern regarding the potential for the conflict to spill across borders.
