Zelenskyy Replaces Top General Syrskyi Amid Donetsk "Fortress Belt" Crisis
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has dismissed Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi, replacing him with Major General Mykhailo Drapatyi. The restructuring aims to modernize command structures as Russian forces intensify pressure on the critical industrial strongholds of Kostiantynivka, Kramatorsk, and Sloviansk. Zelenskyy also appointed prominent unit leaders Andrii Biletskyi and Denys Prokopenko to oversee new regional groupings in Donetsk to implement "network-centric warfare" strategies against the Russian spring-summer offensive.
