Sudanese Army Repels RSF Offensive on Al-Keli in Blue Nile Region
The Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) successfully repelled a major ground assault by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) and allied SPLM-N (Joseph Touka faction) fighters on the strategic town of Al-Keli. The army reported destroying multiple RSF vehicles and downing a drone that entered from Ethiopian airspace. The fighting has triggered significant new displacement, with nearly 14,000 civilians fleeing Geissan and Kurmuk toward the regional capital, Ed Damazin, within the last 48 hours.
