US Navy prepares for extended carrier deployments in Middle East
The U.S. Navy is planning for extended carrier strike group deployments as the conflict with Iran continues. The USS Theodore Roosevelt is scheduled to deploy to the U.S. Central Command area of responsibility to relieve the USS George Washington, which recently entered the 5th Fleet. These deployments are part of the ongoing U.S. military posture in the region since the start of Operation Epic Fury in February.
