Clashes in and near Geissan displace thousands in Blue Nile
According to the International Organization for Migration, recent armed clashes between warring factions in and near Geissan in Sudan's Blue Nile state displaced approximately 7,800 people. Many of the newly displaced individuals were forced to cross the border into neighboring Ethiopia.
