RSF drone strikes target El Obeid as regional flooding worsens Sudan humanitarian crisis
The Rapid Support Forces (RSF) conducted a wave of drone strikes on the SAF-controlled city of El Obeid, damaging a main electrical transformer and cutting power to hundreds of thousands. The attack coincides with an IOM alert reporting that over 200,000 people have been newly displaced across the Kordofan region since late 2025 due to the combined impact of intense urban fighting and catastrophic seasonal floods that have destroyed over 1,350 shelters in North Darfur.
