Clashes in Geissan Displace Thousands
Recent armed clashes in and around the town of Geissan in Sudan's Blue Nile state have forced 7,800 civilians to flee their homes, as reported by UN News. Some of the newly displaced individuals have crossed the border into neighboring Ethiopia to escape the violence.
