UAE detects two Iranian ballistic missiles targeting Gulf maritime traffic
The United Arab Emirates Ministry of Defence reported the detection of two ballistic missiles launched from Iran targeting maritime traffic in the Persian Gulf. One missile landed in territorial waters and the other outside, with no reported damage to shipping. This escalation occurred as a 60-day window for U.S.-Iran peace talks expired without progress, and Iran warned Gulf states that providing assistance to the U.S. military would be viewed as participation in hostilities.
