RSF assault on Um Arada kills 18 civilians and displaces 300 families
The Rapid Support Forces (RSF) attacked the town of Um Arada, located 15 kilometers southwest of El Obeid, leading to intense clashes with the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF). Local medical sources and volunteer groups reported at least 18 fatalities and dozens of injuries among civilians. Approximately 300 families fled the area toward North Kordofan’s capital following the assault. While the RSF claimed full control of the strategic town, the SAF maintained they repelled the attack.
