North Korea to Deploy 50,000 Troops to Support Russian Offensive in Western Regions
Ukraine's military intelligence reported on August 14 that North Korea plans to expand its troop deployment to Russia from 14,000 to as many as 50,000 personnel by November 2026. A dedicated North Korean missile unit, equipped with KN-23 and KN-24 ballistic missile systems and approximately 90 personnel, is currently integrating with Russia's 112th Missile Brigade in the Voronezh, Bryansk, and Belgorod regions to increase strike capacity against Ukrainian infrastructure.
