Taiwan Conducts Coastal Defense Drills Simulating Enemy Invasion
The Taiwanese military initiated a series of combat exercises in Yilan, simulating the defense of the island's coast against an invading force. The drills included the deployment of missile systems and naval assets to monitor increased PLA activity, which recently involved 21 Chinese aircraft and 14 ships near the territory. The exercise also tested civilian infrastructure resilience, including the intentional slowing of mobile internet to simulate wartime communication protocols and electronic warfare scenarios.
