RSF leader orders offensive after military secures Khartoum-El-Obeid highway
Rapid Support Forces (RSF) leader Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo, known as Hemedti, ordered his commanders to launch a full-scale offensive without retreat following the Sudanese military's successful operation to secure a vital highway between Khartoum and El-Obeid. The escalation has triggered fears of mass atrocities in El-Obeid, a critical logistics hub. Approximately 80 to 100 households are reportedly arriving in the city daily seeking refuge from the surrounding combat and drone strikes.
