Taiwan Military Conducts Chemical Decontamination Drills in Hualien
As part of the annual Han Kuang exercises, Taiwan's military conducted nuclear, biological, and chemical (NBC) decontamination drills in Hualien County on August 9. Special armored units and personnel practiced disinfecting tanks and infrastructure following a simulated chemical weapons attack by infiltrated agents. The drills are intended to test response protocols under realistic conditions as the island faces record-breaking levels of maritime and aerial pressure from Chinese People's Liberation Army forces in the Taiwan Strait.
