RSF Paramilitaries Encircle Strategic City of El-Obeid
The Rapid Support Forces (RSF) have increasingly encircled the strategic city of El-Obeid in North Kordofan, home to nearly one million people. International observers and humanitarian agencies expressed grave fears of a new wave of brutality and a potential 'bloodbath' if the city is stormed. A third of the city's population is already comprised of displaced persons, and the encirclement has severely restricted the flow of essential goods and medical supplies.
