Junta airstrike on detention camp in Karenni State
Myanmar's military junta conducted an airstrike on a resistance-operated detention camp in Mese, Karenni State. The attack killed at least five people, including three women, an 18-year-old man, and an 8-year-old girl. The facility was holding family members of junta soldiers. Human rights organizations have condemned the strike, noting that the targeting of a detention camp holding non-combatants may constitute a war crime under international law.
