Deadly Clashes Between Rival Militias Erupt in Western Libya
Overnight fighting between rival armed groups in the Sorman and Zawiya regions of western Libya left at least four people dead and ten others wounded. The clashes involved the Anti-Security Threat Agency and the 103rd Battalion, both theoretically aligned with the Government of National Unity but competing for local control near strategic oil infrastructure. Heavy weaponry and explosive drones were reportedly used in residential areas, prompting the closure of the main coastal road to Tripoli.
