Sudanese Army Seizes Strategic Corridor Towns in North Kordofan
The Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) conducted a rapid offensive, capturing the strategic towns of Bara, Jabrat al-Sheikh, and Um Sayala in North Kordofan. This operation effectively secures the export road connecting Omdurman to El-Obeid, significantly disrupting Rapid Support Forces (RSF) logistics. Following the advance, SAF Chief of Staff Yasser al-Atta vowed to eliminate all RSF elements by the end of 2026. The gains provide a potential staging ground for a military push into North Darfur.
