Sudanese Army Announces Multi-Front Offensive to Eliminate RSF
Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) Chief of Staff Yasser al-Atta announced a massive military push on August 3, 2026, intended to eradicate the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) by the end of the year. The announcement follows the SAF's recent capture of strategic positions along the export road connecting Omdurman to El-Obeid. Al-Atta stated that the army is now implementing a strategy of simultaneous advancement across all sectors to secure North Kordofan and isolate paramilitary strongholds in Darfur.
