Myanmar President Min Aung Hlaing to Conduct First Official Visit to Thailand

Myanmar's President Min Aung Hlaing is scheduled to make his first official visit to Thailand from August 6 to 7. Invited by Thai Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul, the visit aims to strengthen bilateral cooperation and enhance regional collaboration within ASEAN. Min Aung Hlaing, who became president in April following restricted elections, seeks to break Myanmar's international isolation. The visit comes as the domestic civil war continues, and follows the recent release of new images showing detained leader Aung San Suu Kyi.
