Ukrainian Naval Drones Sink Sanctioned Russian Container Ship Yanina
Ukrainian naval drones successfully targeted and sank the Russian-flagged container ship Yanina in the Black Sea, approximately 130 nautical miles from Novorossiysk. President Zelenskyy confirmed the sinking of the vessel, which had a capacity of over 100,000 tons and was under international sanctions for supporting the Russian war effort. Russia's Rosatom confirmed the vessel sank after being struck by two uncrewed surface vessels (USVs), and all 17 crew members were reportedly rescued by nearby merchant ships.
