Ukrainian Naval Drones Sink 100,000-Ton Russian Cargo Ship Yanina
A sanctioned Russian-flagged container ship, the Yanina, was sunk by Ukrainian naval drones in the Black Sea early Saturday morning. The vessel, owned by a subsidiary of the state nuclear corporation Rosatom, was struck approximately 130 nautical miles from Novorossiysk. While Rosatom claimed the ship was carrying civilian goods, Ukrainian officials described it as a vessel supporting the Russian military effort. All 17 crew members were successfully rescued by Russian forces before the ship submerged into international waters.
