Joint US-Saudi Airstrikes Kill 20 PMF Fighters Across Iraq
A series of coordinated airstrikes by U.S. and Saudi forces targeted Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) positions in seven Iraqi provinces. The PMF reported at least 20 fighters killed and 32 wounded in the strikes. The operations were launched in retaliation for recent attacks on Saudi oil facilities, which Riyadh attributes to the Islamic Resistance in Iraq. The strikes have prompted calls for retaliation from pro-Iran factions within the Iraqi security apparatus.
