Somali Airstrike Kills 11 Al-Shabaab Commanders in Middle Shabelle
The Somali National Army, supported by international partners, conducted a precision airstrike in the Adan Yabal district of Middle Shabelle, killing 11 high-ranking Al-Shabaab commanders. Defense Minister Ahmed Moallim Fiqi confirmed the strike targeted a leadership meeting intended to coordinate attacks in the region. Among the dead were the group's intelligence chief for Galgaduud and several regional security heads. The regional commander, Yusuf Issa Kaba Kutukade, was reportedly wounded in the operation on July 28.
