Unitel, Angola's primary mobile network operator, confirmed a massive cyberattack on July 29, 2026, which disrupted voice, mobile data, and internet services for over 21 million customers nationwide. The attack targeted technological infrastructure just one day before Unitel's shares were set to debut on the national stock exchange. Services remained partially disrupted as cybersecurity teams worked to stabilize the network and restore business and financial connectivity across the country.
