Israeli Security Cabinet approves entry of International Stabilisation Force into Gaza

The Israeli security cabinet approved the legal framework allowing a 20,000-strong multinational security force (ISF) to deploy in Gaza as part of a U.S.-backed ceasefire plan. The force, expected to include personnel from Morocco and Uganda, will operate in non-Israeli controlled areas under the oversight of an international 'Board of Peace'. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu approved the move despite opposition from National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir, who argued that Hamas has failed to meet its prior disarmament commitments.
