Rohingya Refugee Boats Capsize off Myanmar Coast
The UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR) and the IOM expressed grave concern following reports that two boats carrying over 500 Rohingya refugees capsized off the Ayeyarwady coast. The passengers, fleeing protracted conflict in Rakhine State and camps in Bangladesh, departed outside the regular sailing season amid severe regional flooding.
