Yemen's Houthi forces launched missiles and drones targeting two Saudi crude oil tankers, the Encelia and Layla, in the Red Sea off the coast of Shuqaiq. The Houthis claimed the strikes were in retaliation for the vessels "violating the blockade" against the kingdom, resuming major regional maritime hostilities after a brief lull.
