Escalating Cross-Border Strikes Displace Thousands in Lebanon
Airstrikes and cross-border artillery attacks linked to the escalating conflict between Israel and Hezbollah have driven a new wave of civilian displacement in Lebanon. Tens of thousands of civilians have fled southern border communities and parts of Beirut in search of safety. The Jesuit Refugee Service reported that an estimated 20,000 newly displaced people are now sheltering in schools, churches, and collective public buildings.
