India and Myanmar officially resume border trade via Pangsau Pass
The strategic border trade route connecting Arunachal Pradesh in India to the Naga Self-Administered Zone in Myanmar's Sagaing Region officially resumed operations. Local experts and Indian Members of Parliament noted that while the resumption is intended to revitalize the local economy, significant security challenges persist due to the ongoing civil war in Myanmar. The reopening follows years of closure and comes at a time when military-imposed internet blackouts are affecting resistance operations in the border regions.
