Pro-government forces shell Idlib countryside
On July 12, Syrian government forces resumed artillery shelling on the towns of Sarmin and Nayrab in the eastern Idlib countryside. The bombardment damaged civilian infrastructure and schools, leading to the displacement of about 4,600 civilians who relocated to overcrowded IDP camps near the Turkish border.
