US Airstrikes Target Southern Iranian Infrastructure Prompting Ahvaz Evacuations
United States Central Command (CENTCOM) conducted its sixth consecutive night of airstrikes against Iranian military targets in Hormozgan province, striking the Bandar-e Khamir and Kehvarstan bridges. The strikes resulted in nine fatalities and seventeen injuries. Collateral damage in the city of Ahvaz forced the emergency evacuation of 200 pediatric oncology patients from a local hospital. The operation follows the collapse of the bilateral Memorandum of Understanding and an intensifying naval blockade in the Gulf of Oman.
