US Conducts Sixth Night of Airstrikes on Iranian Infrastructure
United States Central Command (CENTCOM) initiated its sixth consecutive night of airstrikes against southern Iranian military and transport infrastructure on July 16 and 17. Targets included the Bandar-e Khamir and Kehvarstan bridges, and facilities on Qeshm Island and Bandar Abbas. Local reports confirmed at least nine fatalities. Iran retaliated with drone attacks on U.S. bases in Jordan, Kuwait, and Bahrain, while vowing to target regional infrastructure if American kinetic engagements continue to escalate.
