Armed violence displaces over 3,200 in Artibonite Department
Armed gang violence that broke out on July 6 in the municipalities of Dessalines and Petite-Rivière in Haiti's Artibonite Department forced widespread civilian flight. According to the IOM's Emergency Tracking Tool, 3,225 people (826 households) were newly displaced by the violence. The vast majority of those fleeing sought emergency shelter with host families in surrounding municipalities.
