Russia and Ukraine exchange bodies of 530 fallen soldiers
In a humanitarian exchange facilitated at the Belarusian border, Russia and Ukraine repatriated the remains of 530 soldiers killed in combat. Ukraine received 501 bodies, while Russia received 31. The exchange was confirmed by Russian lawmaker Shamsail Saraliyev and represents the 13th such swap in 2026. This process remains one of the few active channels of communication between the two warring nations as the conflict enters its fifth year of high-intensity fighting.
