U.S. CENTCOM Launches Multiple Waves of Strikes Against Iranian Military Targets
U.S. Central Command forces conducted a seven-hour wave of strikes overnight on July 14, followed by another 90-minute wave on July 15, targeting Iranian missile and drone sites, naval capabilities, and coastal defense systems, including on Greater Tunb Island. The escalation follows the U.S. reinstating a naval blockade of Iranian ports and subsequent Iranian attacks on commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz. Iranian media reported that 7 troops were killed in strikes on a military base in Bampur.
