Cross-border strikes displace communities in southern Lebanon
Intensified cross-border artillery and drone strikes by Israeli forces targeting southern Lebanon, including Bint Jbeil, Marjaayoun, and Tyre districts, caused ongoing civilian flight. Between late June and early July, the total number of internally displaced persons climbed significantly, with an estimated 2,774 newly fleeing the continuous bombardment and infrastructural damage. Displaced families are mostly living in overcrowded host settings, while severe damage to water and electricity networks exacerbates the unfolding humanitarian crisis.
