Insecurity displaces over 3,500 people from Um Baru, North Darfur
The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) and the IOM reported that ongoing armed clashes and insecurity displaced over 3,500 individuals from a village in the Um Baru locality of North Darfur on July 3, 2026. The fighting involved Rapid Support Forces attacking villages near the Chad border.
