Intensified Hostilities in El Obeid Displace 11,000 Civilians
Escalating conflict between the SAF and RSF in and around El Obeid, North Kordofan, has led to the displacement of 11,000 people, including 5,500 children. Increased drone strikes and a tightened siege have crippled infrastructure, leading to acute water and fuel shortages. Save the Children warned that the situation is deteriorating rapidly as humanitarian access remains blocked and a cholera outbreak spreads among the newly displaced populations in overcrowded camps.
